Whether countrywomen-association, cattle breeding association, bowling- or pipe club, “Funkenzunft” (spark guild), winter sports association, snowboard or chess club, ladies-choir, “Landjugend” (rural youth) association, art-, culture-, music- and theater association, horn sled- and sledging club, mountain rescue, beekeeping- or fruit- and horticulture associations, horse-lovers, card players club, or old-timer association – the thematic variety of associations in the “Grosses Walsertal” is enormous.
Altogether there are 111 associations in the Biosphere Park. They play a prior role in the communal life of the Walser and stand for much more than only a useful leasure-time activity: Local people of the valley want to engage- and they do so. With this step, they create an essential basis for a functional commonwealth and for the Biosphere Park at the same time. Since it perks and springs up with the people who engage for a livable future in the valley.
