Whether jazz, blues, rock, swing, or world music – Stojka moves confidently between genres and shapes them into a distinctive musical signature. As a member of a long-standing Lovara Roma dynasty, he draws from a rich cultural heritage, which he transforms with curiosity, virtuosity, and passion into a contemporary, personal sound language.

His extensive discography ranges from early classics like …Off The Bone (1980, with the Harri Stojka Express) and Live at Montreux (1981) to recent releases like Salut to Jimi Hendrix (2022) and Stones Free(2024). Stojka masterfully understands how to creatively develop and reinterpret influences from personalities like Jimi Hendrix or Django Reinhardt without merely quoting them.

With his current project ACOUSTIC DRIVE , Harri Stojka focuses, among other things, on the musical cosmos of Django Reinhardt as well as composers like Werner Müller. However, instead of remaining retrospective, he combines virtuosic jazz soloing with a modern acoustic gypsy sound. Together with his band, an exhilarating mix of enthusiasm, improvisation, and precise musical interaction is created on stage.
