In the kitchen of the Hotel Kreuz in Sonntag, the chef is personally present and knows exactly where to source ingredients in the region. Regionality is firmly anchored here in the Grosses Walsertal - in our restaurant, these themes are lived and truly implemented.

Local and regional products always take precedence here. To ensure freshness and save long distances, we buy what is possible in the region, in Vorarlberg or from producers in the Austrian pleasure regions. This includes not only high-quality food but also Austrian wines, juices, mineral waters, and beer.

Of course, the cheese, the Walserstolz mountain cheese, comes directly from the local dairy. The mountain tea is picked from the alpine meadows in the biosphere park, the honey comes directly from the region's beekeeper, wild game from local hunts, eggs from free-range chickens... Vegetarian dishes can be found on the menu; vegan options are available upon request.

In the summer months, we gather beautiful flowers, herbs, grasses, and twigs for table decoration fresh from nature.
